BPUR International is advancing a transformational roadmap by launching an international partnership built on the Declaration of Intent on Preventing the Political Abuse of Religion, in partnership with Morocco’s National Human Rights Council (CNDH).
The Declaration will be introduced to the international agenda at a Founding Summit, convened by the CNDH and BPUR International in Rabat on 23 January 2027, for the formal adoption of the Declaration and the establishment of the International Partnership.
This Partnership brings together governments, lawmakers, human rights institutions and international leaders around a practical framework to address the root causes of religious conflicts and discrimination. It seeks to establish clear international principles that protect freedom of religion or belief, equality and the sanctity of faith from political abuse.
The Rabat Summit will mark the beginning of a new phase of international cooperation, creating a platform for governments and institutions from different regions to work collectively towards advancing the Declaration and its principles internationally.
