Mohammed Shakir Aldulaimi is a prominent entrepreneur and Chairman of the Al-Dulaimi Business Group. He has a proven track record of leading development and economic initiatives, including the establishment of the Islamic Green Bank for Sustainable Development, the world’s first Islamic bank dedicated to financing green projects.
He also founded the Baghdad Renewable Energy and Sustainability Centre (BRESC) as a non-profit organisation and has contributed to motivating young people to adopt an innovative sustainable approach. The BRESC has played a prominent role in shaping economic and environmental visions.
Previously, he held leadership positions in several economic institutions, including Secretary-General of the Iraqi Businessmen Union, and played key roles in economic and development forums on the local and international levels.
He has also served as a member of several national and international committees concerned with energy and the environment, including the Arab League’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Executive Committee (RCREEE), contributing to Arab cooperation in this vital sector.
Al-Dulaimi continues his efforts to support sustainable development and empower the private sector through his membership in the Permanent Council for Private Sector Development, believing in its role as a key driver of national growth.
He is also engaged in research and development, with his doctoral thesis addressing green finance tools to achieving urban sustainability, as part of his ongoing interest in combining theory and practice in environmental issues.
Since 2020, Al-Dulaimi has been a member of our global initiative, driven by his firm belief that protecting religion from political exploitation is a fundamental pillar of societal stability and promoting the values of peaceful coexistence.
