Dr. Abdul Hussain Shaban is an academic, thinker and writer with outstanding contributions in the context of innovation, enlightenment, modernity, culture and criticism.
He is the Vice President of the Non-Violence and Human Rights University (AUNOHR), focusing on civil society and religion, international constitutions and laws, including conflicts, wars, tolerance and peace.
Dr Shaban holds a PhD in legal sciences, and he is a visiting professor at the University of Baghdad, Salah Al-Din University in Erbil and a number of Arab and foreign universities.
He has published over 60 books, and several have been written about him. He is a laureate of several awards, including the most prominent human rights activist in the Arab world.
