Cuesta is a leading politician and former president of the Parliamentary Commission on Sovereignty, Integration, International Relations and Integral Security.
She is former vice minister of Human Mobility at Ecuador’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility.
She is also prominent academic and global advocate of social justice, human rights, women rights, migrants and refugees’ rights.
