Gattolin is the Vice-chair of the European Affairs Committee and Vice-chair of the Defence Committee in the French Senate as well as Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
He is Professor of Communication Sciences at University Sorbonne Nouvelle and Journalist and writer at leading publications, including Libération and Actuel.
Gattolin is also a prominent member of the Transnational Radical Party, human rights activist, global environmentalist and a staunch supporter of minorities.
