He is member of Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, member of Committee on Development, Vice chair of the Delegation for relations with the Arab Peninsula and Vice chair of the Sport Group of the European Parliament.
Tarabella is former Belgian regional minister from 2007 to 2009.
