Salam Sarhan is a prominent writer, journalist and broadcaster. He is the founder and secretary general of BPUR International, an NGO registered in the United Kingdom, leading a global campaign to enact an ‘International Treaty to Ban the Political Abuse of Religion’.

As a writer, he has published three books and over one thousand articles in Arabic and English on a wide range of subjects, including literature, politics, technology, business and economics, besides working as an editor in leading publications such as Asharq Al-Awsat, Alarab Daily, and The Arab Weekly.
