Saad Al Dousari is a prominent novelist, filmmaker and one of the leading voices of the second establishing movement of modern literature in Saudi Arabia, starting in the 1970s.

He is a well published author with 2 novels and 5 short story collections. Saad Al Dousari is also a renowned journalist in all types of media and a leading advocate of social liberties.

His novel “Riyadh November 1990” won the ministry of culture prize for literature 2012, which captured the Saudi social transformation through a story of the first women’s movement to demand the right to drive cars in November 1990.
