Ambassador Lincoln Bloomfield Jr served as a U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Political Military Affairs and Special Representative of the President and Secretary of State for Humanitarian Mine Action, and later Presidential Envoy for Portable Air Defence Systems Threat Reduction, with the rank of Ambassador.
During his service in five previous U.S. administrations, he also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Deputy Assistant to the Vice President for National Security Affairs and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for International Security Affairs.
His career has centred on foreign policy and defence. A graduate of Harvard College and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, he was Director of The Fletcher Forum, the school’s foreign affairs journal.
Today, he is Distinguished Fellow and Chairman Emeritus at the Stimson Center, Founder of Palmer Coates LLC and Vice Chairman of Mana Pacific. He is actively engaged in support of sustainability technologies and initiatives promoting renewable energy and addressing water scarcity.
