Member of the Spanish Senate

Senator Gutiérrez Limones is a leading Spanish politician, representing the Socialist Workers’ Party, the current Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate and former Mayor of the Province of Seville and Alcalá de Guadaira.

He is Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Chairperson of the Spanish delegation and Vice-Chairperson of the Socialists, Democrats and Greens Group.

Mr Gutiérrez Limones is a member of PACE’s Monitoring Committee on the Honouring of Obligations Commitments by Member States and former member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights, Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy, Committee on Social Affairs, Committee on Health and Sustainable Development, Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination, Committee on Culture, Science, Education and Media.

He is also is a former Chairperson of the Sub-Committee on External Relations, member of the Sub-Committees on External Relations, Diasporas and Integration, the Middle East and the Arab World, Diasporas, Human Rights, Education, Youth and Sport.
