Leyya Nihal is a former diplomat and Trade Commissioner who served in Nelson Mandela’s newly democratic government, specialising in international relations, economic development, trade, investment promotion and advocacy.

As a consultant with over 20 years of strategic and operational leadership, she has delivered high-impact programmes and events for governments, multinationals, and membership bodies. She currently serves as an executive member and Deputy Trade Ambassador for the South African Chamber of Commerce in London.

Leyya Nihal holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economic History from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and a Certificate in Export Practice and International Trade from the International Trade Institute of Southern Africa.
